Helsinki Design Week Market

Here's a little look back on the weekend and Helsinki Design Week Market. It was huge! And awesome! And very successful to say the least.
Design Market is the biggest design stock sale in the Nordic countries and without a doubt one of the most popular events on the Helsinki Design Week programme. Taking place at the Cable Factory, the event hosts a selection of furniture, interior products, clothes and accessories from nearly 200 handpicked design companies. This year the selection was completed with visiting designers from Estonia and Sweden - Bold Tuesday among the others.
Thanks for all who visited us! And respect for the organisers - they have done a great job getting such a big crowd together.

Moments before the doors were opened on Saturday morning. This time we used a completely new approach to our display - a combination of "islands" for the poster tubes and "road-signs" for the samples. The display allowed people to flow right through it, to get really close to the samples, there was no barrier between us and them and the islands were really flexible when we needed to rearrange the setting.

The whole Cable Factory was this crowded throughout the day on both days! And in the mornings there was even a waiting-line in front of the doors. The Finns really do love design!

Tired but happy Bold Tuesday designers having their well earned veggie burgers and ginger-ales after the market.

See you again next year at the Cable Factory!
